[Asia Daily Lee Geumjoon reporter] Group MYNAME faced a flustering situation. That’s because they had to discard 20,000 albums because of Gangnam Style.
MYNAME’s agency’s representative revealed to Asia Daily, “We recently had to discard 20,000 copies of MYNAME’s 2nd single. That’s because the completed CD had Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’ as the 6th track.”
According to the representative, MYNAME’s 2nd single CD was produced during autumn last year. It was when ‘Gangnam Style’ was at it’s peak of popularity.
While producing the album, a system error caused ‘Gangnam Style’ to be added to the album and they found out too late. The 20,000 copies that were in the last stage of production had to be discarded.
H2Media said, “Luckily the spoilt CDs were discovered before they went out. At that time, all the staff were fidgety. But the good comes with the bad. For a better future, we are trying to bear with the mishap.”
Meanwhile, MYNAME started their basic promotions with the released of ‘Just That Little Thing’ on the 25th. The new song was written and composed by Park Hyunjoong of Brave Sound. It mixes electronic and retro sounds and has an addictive melody.
MYNAME plans to have their comeback performance on the 27th through SBS ‘Inkigayo’. The members will use their various experiences in Korea and Japan to show more developed skills on stage.

MYNAME appeared on the covers of Coupon Land, WEDDING and TOKYO HEADLINE, capturing the attention of Japanese fans. Besides these, they also appeared as models on the cover of ODINA and had an interview, gaining attention from the Japanese mass media.
Specially, MYNAME appeared on the cover of ODINA next to Psy, who is gaining popularity as a world star, and also appeared with AKB48′s Itano Tomomi on the cover of Coupon Land, which is popular among teens and those in their 20s.
Meanwhile, MYNAME released their first Japanese single album in July and charted on Oricon Daily charts at 7th place, and will release their 2nd single album on November 21st.
